What is MLH Local Hack Day?
Local Hack Day: Build is a global hack day that enables your community to get first-hand experience bringing their ideas to life by participating in a hackathon. Over the course of 12 hours, attendees will use hardware and software to build everything from website to robots to mobile apps and more.

This is an event for all skill levels, from beginners to the most veteran developers. Workshop attendees will learn skills that they can apply in their projects, schoolwork, job, and beyond. We provide a venue for self-expression and creativity through technology.

It doesn't matter if someone is still making their first app or their 100th one. There are a lot of things to learn.

The only constraint is time.

It's free to participate in MLH's Local Hack Day. You'll be responsible for covering any costs associated with getting yourself to the venue, any supplies you need for your project, and any food or drinks beyond what is being provided as indicated on the location's page.

Unfinished or unimpressive (so you think) projects should be presented anyway! Presenting your hack gives you a chance to be proud of what you’ve done, and a constructive perspective of where you should be headed next.

Ghaziabad is well connected to all major cities of India by train. The New Bus Adda/Shaheed Sthal metro station at Ghaziabad has a daily route to Delhi. College is situated on NH-58, buses and autos run frequently.

Not to worry, most people don’t! We’ll have team formation and ideation events geared towards helping you find people to work with.

Then we're so glad LHD will be your first ever! It’s helpful to have some programming or technical experience, but it’s not a requirement. We’ll have talks, mentors and workshops to help you with your project.

We are a huge supporter of gender equality and empowerment. We've treasured swag exclusively for girls to promote and encourage their participation. Gotta grab em' all girls!

No. In the interest of fairness, students should not be working on their projects before Local Hack day begins and we do not allow participants to work on pre-existing projects. However, you can familiarize yourself with all the tools and technologies you intend to use beforehand!

If we are too distant for you then you can look for LHD events which are running around you on MLH website, but sorry we can't provide you with any travel cost.

We want to make sure that MLH Local Hack Day events create a safe and welcoming environment for attendees and organizers. For this reason the MLH Code of Conduct should be followed throughout the duration of each event.

Don't worry! We're here to help. Just send an email with your questions to dsc@kiet.edu and we'll get back to you within 2 - 3 business days.
